In 2009 the European Union will offer several new Erasmus Mundus scholarships for non-European citizens (in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 more than 90 Erasmus Mundus scholarships were given). Each scholarship for each student amounts to 21,000 EUR per academic year; this includes 10 monthly grants of 1,600 EUR and a fixed amount of 5,000 EUR for fees, travel expenses, relocation costs, etc. The 10th of February 2009 is the final deadline for requesting an Erasmus Mundus scholarship for non-European students.
Several scholarships are available for students not holding an Erasmus Mundus scholarship, to waive the tuition fee of 3.000 € for students without a scholarship, on the basis of their academic merit.
Every year 10 EMCL students with European citizenship can visit Australia (Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane) up to 3 months to work on a research project, sponsored by the European Master. The study period in Australia is part of the study programme and it is fully recognised by the European Master's Program in Computational Logic. The guaranteed scholarship is of 3,100 € and it covers the travel and living expenses in Australia.
